The former CASO line runs through the municipality and council is being asked to approve the construction of a trail on the line from Ridgetown to Kent Bridge Road.
The funding comes courtesy of an annual dividend from Entegrus for the rail trail, which has been accumulating since 2012.
All told, the gravel trail, the access control gates, and signage will cost $475,000.
Council will be asked to approve the project tonight.
