A new neighbourhood group is taking shape in Wallaceburg.
A handful of interested people have made the determination to move forward with a model known as Neighbourhood Protect.
It’s a website that allow citizens to anonymously report suspicious activity in their community.
“At this point, we’re looking at the online component,” said Special Constable Randi Hull of the Chatham-Kent Police Service. “But, we’ll likely also doing some door knocking to make sure we include everyone from seniors to younger citizens in our community,” she added.
A small steering committee has been struck to oversee the project.
It’s expected to meet again next month.
