North Kent Wind is opening its doors to the community.
The company is holding a public meeting in Pain Court next Thursday, September 21st to give updates on the North Kent Wind 1 project.
An open house will be held at the Church of the Immaculate Conception on Winter Line Road from 5:30 until 7, followed by a Q&A with a panel of experts until 8.
Meantime, the company has released a statement on the first five investigations into well issues since the project began, saying there is no indication that those problems were caused by wind turbine construction.
Instead, North Kent Wind is pinning some of the issues on well construction, maintenance, or existing equipment.
A Brook Line family, who had been given a water tank while the investigation was being carried out, now says that tank is being removed.
In response, North Kent Wind says while the investigation found the company is not responsible for the Brooks family’s well problems, they will be working with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change to continue to provide water to the family.
