Walpole Island continues to have zero active cases of COVID-19.
First Nations Council says the local health centre has tested 89 community members in total with 14 positive cases. 13 of those cases have been resolved, with one death.
Council has also decided to extend the Walpole Island bridge closure to non-residents until at least July 31st. Chief and council met last week to discuss the matter and will review the closure again at their next regular meeting on July 28th.
Council asks Walpole Island residents to continue to be safe and practice physical distancing if you have to go out.
