No Charges In Dog Shooting

No charges for a farmer that shot a dog in Essex over the weekend.

Police were called to the scene on the fourth concession around 9pm Sunday.

The man shot the trespassing dog with a small calibre firearm.

The dog, which belongs to a neighbour, is expected to recover.

Police say that under the legislation a person may kill a dog if it’s wandering around unsupervised on a farm with animals.
