No New Cases In C-K, Still Just 2 Active Cases

CK Public Health is reporting no new cases of COVID-19 in Chatham-Kent on Friday.
The local “active” case total remains at two with 371 total cases, 366 recoveries and three deaths.
There continues to be no COVID-positive C-K residents in hospital and no outbreaks at local institutions, workplaces or schools.
The province reported a record-setting 939 new cases across Ontario today, bringing some severe restrictions to hotspots including Toronto, Peel and Ottawa regions.

Locally, Middlesex-London reported 24 new infections, with 18 new cases in Windsor-Essex. Lambton Public Health has one new case today, which is the only active case of the coronavirus in Lambton.
In addition to the measures being implemented in the Ottawa, Peel, and Toronto public health unit regions, the Chief Medical Officer of Health is also urging all Ontarians to:
– Limit trips outside of home, except for essential purposes only such as work where it is not possible to work from home, school, grocery shopping, medical appointments, and outdoor healthy physical activity. In addition, travel to other regions in the province, especially from higher transmission to lower transmission areas, should only be for essential purposes;
– Practice physical distancing of at least two metres with those outside your household;
– Wear a face covering when physical distancing is a challenge or where it is mandatory to do so; and
– Wash your hands frequently and thoroughly; and following gathering limits and rules.
