It’s not lost on the local medical community that there has been a lot of COVID-19 cases popping up in the Wallaceburg and Dresden area.
With outbreaks at Walmart, Fairfield Park, and Lambton Kent Composite School, Dr. David Colby says they are watching.
“It seems that North Kent is having a disproportionate number of cases, and we’re puzzled over this ourselves as to why that is,” Dr. Colby says.
Public Health is also working on the contact tracing to see if there are common threads between the cases in Wallaceburg and Dresden.
“We’re investigating that now, but we do believe we will be able to link everything up and produce the kind of diagram that we did in the Blenheim outbreak.”
Dr. Colby admits the medical community is somewhat puzzled as to why so many cases are popping up in this part of the municipality right now.
