Old Man Winter is Coming

Chatham-Kent and much of southwestern Ontario is bracing for a blast of winter weather this week.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement, calling for a significant winter storm beginning later today and lasting through to Wednesday.

The system will move into the area today with rain, becoming mixed with snow, and strong winds.

We could see anywhere between 5 and 10 cm of snow by tomorrow morning, more as you get closer to Lake Huron, and an additional 2-4cm expected during the day tomorrow.

Travel is expected to be a challenge with snow-covered and icy roads tonight into tomorrow.

The system should be moving out of the area on Wednesday.
