The Municipality of Chatham-Kent has received the fourth-quarter payment for hosting Cascades Casino in Chatham.

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) has made a payment of $255,748 to the municipality for the period of January 1 to March 31.

For the full 2021-2022 fiscal year, Cascades Casino has brought in $921,281 in gaming revenue for CK. Since the gaming site opened in April 2001, the municipality has received a total of $14,453,931.

Public health restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic have had an impact on gaming revenues across the province. During the fourth quarter, Ontario’s gaming sites were closed for a total of 26 days. Casinos were able to open at full capacity on February 17 and all remaining public health restrictions were lifted on March 21.
