The Business Social Network held a golf tournament on Friday to raise funds for the New Animal Shelter and Chatham-Kent Olympic hopeful Julia Corrente.
Julia’s sport of choice is bobsled, and she is raising money to one day participate in the Olympics. She says she’s very grateful for all of the support she’s received so far,
“My budget is very big for my sport and all the help I can get is amazing from the community and I’m so thankful to the business social network for allowing me to be a part of this and to receive some of the funds because my sport is very expensive. For me to reach the world stage is costly and so I’m very grateful.”
Julia is on Team Canada and hopes to complete in the Olympics.
