Another Chatham-Kent resident has lost their life to COVID-19.
Chatham-Kent Public Health said 81 people have now lost their lives to the virus since the beginning of the pandemic.
In its weekly update, the health unit reported that 24 new high-risk cases were identified between July 3 to July 9, which is a drop from the 41 cases reported the week before.
Chatham-Kent’s positivity rate has also declined to 5.2 per cent, which remains lower than the provincial rate of 13.3 per cent.
Health officials are still keeping tabs on an outbreak at Tilbury Manor Nursing Home, with 30 cases reported since June 21.
