One Last Shot Of Winter Left Thousands In The Dark

It was a dark and stormy night for many Chatham-Kent residents Saturday evening as power was knocked out for thousands of customers.

Hydro One scrambled to get the power back on for several communities thanks to that wintery blast that brought rain, snow and high winds in for one last look at the region.

They were able to restore power to about 11,000 customers  before midnight.

Merlin was also hit but that was a separate issue being blamed on faulty equipment.

Everyone is back on line today.
