One New COVID Case in CK Today

Just one new case of COVID-19 is being reported in Chatham-Kent today.

The latest update from Public Health also includes two recoveries, dipping the total active cases across the municipality to 17.

24 students have shifted back to learning from home after a staff member at A.A. Wright public school in Wallaceburg tested positive for COVID-19.

The Public Health Unit contacted the Lambton Kent District School Board yesterday afternoon and say the class was dismissed out of an abundance of caution.

No specifics about the teacher or class have been released due to privacy considerations.

The Windsor-Essex Health Unit has announced 49 new cases today, while Lambton County has added just three new positive cases. Combined with 25 recoveries, that lowers the region’s total active case count to 72.

Province-wide, 42 more people have died from the virus. The government is also reporting 981 more confirmed cases.
