One person remains in hospital following what police describe as a near-drowning off Walpole Island earlier this week.
As we first told you yesterday, emergency crews were called out to the Snye River around 6:30 Thursday morning for a rescue operation.
Chatham-Kent OPP now say a group of friends had been out boating late Wednesday night when one person fell into the water around midnight, but rescue crews couldn’t reach them until the sun started to come up.
The victim, who has only been identified as an adult, was taken to hospital in serious condition.
