A local woman has been arrested after allegedly threatening to harm another woman in Chatham.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a disturbance at a residence on Wedgewood Avenue just before noon on November 12.
Authorities said a woman had gone to the home and made threats to harm the resident before fleeing the scene. Officers obtained surveillance footage from the incident and issued a warrant for the arrest of a 39-year-old Chatham woman.
Police located the woman on Third Street at around 9 a.m. on Monday and took her into custody. The accused is now charged with one count of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.
She was taken to police headquarters and later released with a December court date.
