The Ontario Fire Marshal continues to investigate a Wallaceburg fire that claimed three lives last week.
Heavy equipment was on site on Sunday, removing debris and helping crews with clearing collapsed sections of the Elgin Street home. Chatham-Kent Fire and Emergency Services have now cleared the scene.
Two victims were initially pulled from the burning building the morning of the fire. A man was pronounced dead at the scene, while a woman taken to hospital later died from her injuries. A third body was recovered from the basement of the home later that day.
There’s no word yet on what sparked the flames.
