The Ontario government will table its budget for 2022 on Thursday, just over one month ahead of the provincial election.
Minister of Finance Peter Bethlenfalvy will deliver the budget in the Ontario Legislature at 4:05 p.m.
The provincial budget was legally supposed to be tabled on or before March 31, however, the Ford government tabled legislation in February that shifted the deadline to April 30.
Opposition parties have criticized the PCs for the delay, which will likely limit possible debate on the budget ahead of the June 2 election.
