A local organization is amongst a number of groups across southwestern Ontario receiving a boost in funding.

Lambton-Kent-Middlesex MPP Monte McNaughton announced over 2-million dollars in funding through the Ontario Trillium Foundation for 16 non-profit groups to invest in critical needs, including hiring and training new staff, upgrading facilities, and introducing new programs and services.

Among the recipients of the Resilient Communities Fund, the Wallaceburg Adult Activity Centre is receiving $221,300.

“Whether it’s hosting social events and exercise classes for seniors, helping those who are less fortunate, or giving children memories that will last a lifetime, non-profits are indispensable to our way of life in southwestern Ontario,” said MPP McNaughton. “Our government will continue to make historic investments in community organizations, so they can offer improved services for the people who rely on them most.”
