Starting today, winter coats are being handed out to those in need through the United Way’s Operation Cover-Up.
Donated coats have been collected over the past few months, and Mary Symons from the United Way say those looking for a coat need to pick up a voucher.
“They can do that at any of our United Way offices,” Symons says. “We’re definitely still taking coat collections through to Wednesday, November 30th. They can drop them off at any of the Salvation Army locations throughout Chatham-Kent.”
Donations are also being accepted at McBrayne Feed and Supply in Dresden, in Thamesville at Vivian Cleaners, and in Tilbury at the Information and HELP Centre.
This is the 30th year for the program.
