Operation Cover Up

coatsThe United Way and The Salvation Army want to make sure that everyone stays warm this winter.

Operation Cover Up kicks off this Tuesday, and Captain Stephanie Watkinson from the Salvation Army says they are accepting gently used winter coats:

“In particular children’s coats and plus size coats are what we really generally what we need every year,” says Watkinson. “So if you’re going through cupboards and you have childrens’ coats in great condition, please drop them off so that another child can stay warm.”

Captain Watkinson also says that children’s and plus size winter coats are much needed. Coats can be dropped off at Salvation Army locations in Blenheim, Chatham, Ridgetown, and Wallaceburg.

The coats will be distributed the day after Thanksgiving to those who need them.
