The Wallaceburg Fireworks Festival has been given a boost. 
The Optimist Club of Wallaceburg is donating $2,500 dollars to the July first festivities in Kinsmen Park.
The money is earmarked for a free children’s area, which will offer face painting, glitter tattoos, balloon twisting, and more.
Meantime, volunteers from the Fireworks Committee will be going door to door once again today to collect donations.
