A man from Wheatley and another from Harrow are facing charges after drugs and stolen property were recovered in Colchester.
The Ontario Provincial Police said a trailer and its contents were stolen from Colchester Harbour between January 21 and January 22. Then on January 24, a pickup truck was stolen from a business near Wheatley Harbour.
Following an investigation, officers arrested two suspects in Colchester South without incident on Thursday at around 5:30 p.m.
Police also seized the stolen property, along with a quantity of suspected methamphetamine and oxycodone. The value of the recovered property is estimated at over $26,000.
As a result, a 51-year-old Wheatley man and a 35-year-old Harrow man are both charged with drug possession. The Wheatley man is additionally charged with possession of stolen property, while the Harrow man is also charged with possession of break-in tools.
