A nighttime theft has landed two people in hot water with police.
A theft in progress was reported to police just before 9:30 Tuesday night, with an employee reporting a pickup truck trying to tow a 24-foot flatbed trailer from the property.
Officers responded to the Grand Avenue East business and arrested two people at the scene.
Authorities say a Yamaha Kodiak ATV found in the bed of the pickup had previously been reported stolen in a separate investigation.
A 31-year-old woman and 44-year-old man have been charged with one count each of theft and possession of stolen property over $5000.
The pair were held in custody for bail hearings.
