A local woman is recovering from serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in north-east Chatham.
Emergency crews responded to the intersection of McNaughton Avenue East and Taylor Avenue shortly after 8:30 Tuesday evening.
Authorities say a pedestrian was struck by a passing vehicle. The driver, a 66-year-old Chatham woman, was not hurt, but the victim, a 28-year-old from Chatham, suffered serious injuries.
The Chatham-Kent Police Traffic Management Unit was called in to take over the investigation, which remains ongoing. Police have not said whether charges will be laid.
