Rotary Clubs around the world are raising money to try to eradicate polio.
Wednesday, October 28th is the annual Pizza for Polio Day in Chatham-Kent, with over half a dozen Chatham pizza places donating a portion of their sales to the cause.
Over the last six years, the Chatham Rotary club has helped raise $250,000 to help fight polio.
Konstantino’s, Andy’s Place, Steve’s Pizzeria, Original 2 Pizza, Boston Pizza, Pizza Tonite, Mike’s Place, and Pie-Zano’s are donating a portion of their proceeds on pizza orders that day to support the cause.
Rotary Clubs have spent the last 30 years working to rid the world of polio, contributing nearly $1.2 billion and countless volunteer hours to the protection of more than two billion children in 122 countries.
