Plant-Based Beverages Recalled

Concerns over Listeria have prompted a recall of several plant-based beverages.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency advisory applies to Silk brand almond milk, coconut milk, almond-coconut milk and oat milk, as well as Great Value brand almond milk.

A statement from the agency says food contaminated with Listeria may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick. Symptoms can include vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headache and neck stiffness. Pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems are particularly at risk.

Recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the location where they were purchased.
