Skip the Ditches, Plow Patrol, and The Big LePlowski are among the winning names of Chatham-Kent’s third annual snowplow naming contest.
The Municipality of Chatham-Kent announced the winners of the yearly contest late Monday afternoon, following a week-long online voting period.
“It’s truly heartening to witness the creativity and engagement of our citizens in naming our snowplows,” said Mayor Darrin Canniff in a news release. “This contest exemplifies the strong sense of community we cherish, where everyone plays a role in shaping our shared experiences.”
The municipality launched the contest in early November and received more than 175 creative name submissions. A shortlist of 35 entries was then selected and the top six names were voted on by the community — one for each of the municipality’s wards.
The other three winners were Austin Plowers, Taylor Drift, and Snowtorius B.I.G.
