Police Appeal To Witnesses After Man Left With Critical Injuries

Police are looking for witnesses after a man was found at a Chatham shopping plaza with serious injuries.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to Grand Avenue West at around 5:30 a.m. on June 5, after the man was found in the parking lot area of Thames-Lea Plaza.

The man was taken to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance before being airlifted to Windsor Regional Hospital. He currently remains in hospital in critical but stable condition.

At the time he was found, the victim was wearing a blue fleece jacket, denim shorts, and black shoes. Police officials are not releasing any information about how the man was injured at this time.

Authorities are now appealing to possible witnesses who were in the area that morning between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. to come forward if they have any relevant information.
