Refusing to leave a local business has led to charges for a Chatham man.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers received a complaint from a Keil Drive business in Chatham on Friday shortly before 10:30 a.m.
When police arrived, the man who had refused to leave the premises continued to be uncooperative. The man resisted arrest but was ultimately taken into custody.
As a result, a 52-year-old Chatham man is now charged with failing to leave the premises and resisting a peace officer. He was later released from custody with a June court date.
