The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were contacted on May 28, 2025, shortly before 6 p.m., after a man struck and damaged an exterior light fixture at a Third Street restaurant in Chatham. He then exposed his buttocks to patrons inside the establishment.
After reviewing surveillance footage of the incident, authorities identified a suspect and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
The 30-year-old Chatham-Kent man was located and arrested by police on King Street West just before 4 a.m. on Wednesday. The accused is now charged with mischief under $5,000 and indecent exposure. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
