Charges have been laid after a suspected drunk driver lead police on a chase near Tilbury.
Officers responded to a traffic complaint on Middle Line just before 4 o’clock Monday afternoon.
The driver allegedly tried to evade police by reversing through a stop sign, fleeing on foot, and hiding in a shed. Officers were able to track the accused and brought him into custody.
The 49-year-old is charged with having a blood alcohol level exceeding the legal limit, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from police, break and enter, and resisting arrest.
The accused was released with conditions and a date in court next month.
