Charges have been laid as Chatham-Kent Police crackdown on speeders along St Clair Street in Chatham.

Authorities say over the past several months, there have been significant issues with vehicles performing stunts and driving dangerously through business parking lots in the area.

Around 8:30 Saturday night, officers spotted a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed and burnouts.

The 21-year-old driver was pulled over and charged with stunt driving under the Highway traffic Act.  The accused also had his license suspended for 30 days, and the vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for 14 days.
