With a mix of snow and freezing rain over the week, local emergency crews were kept busy. 
Chatham-Kent Police say they responded to almost a dozen collisions around the municipality, with the OPP dealing with countless crashes reported on the 401.
Authorities say sometimes staying home is the safest option, plan ahead, and if you have to go out during bad weather, leave yourself plenty of time and drive with care.
