A suspended driver has been arrested after he was allegedly caught behind the wheel in Chatham.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers stopped a vehicle on Baldoon Road at around 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
Authorities alleged that the attached licence plates were not registered to that vehicle, and the vehicle was not insured. As well, the suspect had previously been suspended from driving.
As a result, a 61-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with two counts of driving while suspended, using an unauthorized licence plate, and driving without insurance. He was later released with a June court date.
