
An arrest has been made after a police officer was assaulted in Chatham.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a residence on Cardinal Crescent at around 4 p.m. on Saturday regarding an unwanted person.
When police arrived, a woman requested that an individual be removed from the residence. However, while interacting with the unwanted person, the woman became aggressive and assaulted an officer.
No injuries were reported, but a 40-year-old Chatham woman was arrested at the scene. She has been charged with assaulting a peace officer and was released with a future court date.
