Police Officers To Train In Chatham

Local police will once again be conducting training exercises in Chatham.

Officers with the Chatham-Kent Police Service will be at the former St. Ursula Catholic School at 426 Lacroix Street from Tuesday through Thursday. This follows a previous stint of training exercises that were conducted by police last week.

Police officials said residents may notice an increased police presence in the area, and nearby neighbours may also hear realistic sound effects during the training.

While there is no cause for alarm, the public is asked to avoid the immediate area while the exercises are underway to ensure the safety and effectiveness of the training.
