
A CK woman is facing charges after a vehicle was stolen in Wallaceburg.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said a vehicle was reported stolen from a Base Line Road business shortly before 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
Minutes later, officers on patrol located the vehicle travelling north on McNaughton Avenue and conducted a traffic stop. Police located stolen property belonging to another victim inside the vehicle and also learned that the woman behind the wheel had been suspended from driving.
As a result, a 32-year-old Chatham-Kent woman has been arrested and charged with theft of a motor vehicle, theft under $5,000, possession of stolen property over $5,000, possession of stolen property under $5,000, and driving while under suspension.
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
