Police Seize $105K In Drugs, Arrest Two At Chatham Home

Chatham-Kent Police have seized $105,000 worth of suspected drugs from a Park Street residence in Chatham.
An 18-year-old Chatham man and 45-year-old Chatham woman now face numerous charges after suspected fentanyl, cocaine, hydromorphine, digital scales, cash, price lists, packaging material, a loaded handgun and sawed off shutgun were seized on Wednesday night.
The 18-year-old man was taken into custody following a short struggle. He has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Fentanyl), Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Hydromorphone), Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Restricted Firearm (with ammunition), two counts of Careless Storage of a Firearm, Resist Peace Officer and Fail to Comply with Release Order (7 Counts).
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
The 45-year-old female was arrested and charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Fentanyl), Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine), Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Restricted Firearm (with ammunition) and two counts of Careless Storage of a Firearm.
She was released pending a future court date.
