Poll Shows Just Over Half In CK Are Ready For The Vaccine

Are you ready to lineup and roll up when the time comes for your vaccine against COVID-19?

According to a poll by Chatham-Kent Public Health and IPSOS, 54 per cent of Chatham-Kent residents say they would definitely or probably get vaccinated when the time comes.

29 per cent say they were uncertain and 18 per cent said they would not take the shots.

Women and people under the age of 65 expressed the most concern about  getting the vaccine.

Also the vast majority are following the protocols with 94 per cent washing their hands frequently, 91 per cent are were wearing a mask and 82 per cent are practicing social distancing.

The review of public health was beyond positive with 90 per cent saying the health unit is doing a good job and 92 per cent saying they trust the information coming from Chatham-Kent Public Health.

It should be noted the poll of 540 residents took place between October 22nd and November 2nd, long before the studies were released on these vaccines including their efficacy rate.
