Postma Heating and Cooling is hosting an upcoming educational event, aimed at exposing more students and job seekers to modern skilled trades.
A Skilled Trades Boot Camp will be held at the company’s main office on January 15, in partnership with Support Ontario Youth and Tools in the Trades. Students, educators, industry partners, and community leaders will be given a hands-on look at careers in the skilled trades, specifically millwright and plumbing.
“We see it as part of a broader effort to strengthen workforce awareness, support collaboration between education and industry, and help build a stronger pipeline of skilled workers for the communities we serve,” Postma said in a news release.
Participants will see tools, technology, and work environments firsthand; speak directly with tradespeople; and learn more about how skilled trades support reliable infrastructure, local business growth, and sustainable careers.
The event runs from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at Postma’s main office on Charing Cross Road.
