A local corn production company is taking centre stage at the upcoming International Plowing Match and Rural Expo.
Pride Seeds is donating $37,000 to the event, the bulk of which is earmarked for the event’s main stage.
Vice President of Sales and Marketing Doug Alderman says sponsoring the IPM is not only about showcasing their business, but supporting Pain Court and all of Chatham-Kent.
“We’re proud of the fact that we can produce corn and soybeans here,” Alderman says. “We want to make sure that people know where the seed comes from and we’re hoping to be able to do some tours of our seed corn production as part of the educational experience for the public and the tens of thousands of people potentially coming to the show.”
The Pride Seeds donation includes an in-kind gift of site stake placement at the RV Park.
