In January 2011 the Prime Minister announced the creation of the Prime Minister’s Volunteer Awards (PMVA) to recognize the exceptional contribution volunteers make to Canada. There will 17 awards given to volunteers, local businesses and not-for-profit organizations that make a difference in our communities. There are many wonderful people that should be nominated for these awards. Look around you and nominate the outstanding people in your community that deserve recognition.
