Local police are teaming up with area community groups to encourage kids to play safe this summer.
A series of Bike Rodeos are taking place this week, starting in Chatham Friday evening. The Chatham-Kent Police Service will be holding a fun and educational evening, offering bike tune-ups, helmet checks, a safety course, face painting, and more. The event runs from 5-7pm at Grace Christian Reformed Church on Tweedsmuir Avenue West.
Saturday, a similar event will be held in the Tilbury Arena parking lot, in partnership with the Tilbury Rotary Club from 10am-12pm. At the same time, a Bike Rodeo is also being held at the Bothwell Arena, sponsored by the Bothwell Optimist Club.
Each event will also offer free food and drinks to participants, as well as outdoor games and other family-friendly fun.
