Public School Board Looking For New Trustee in Sarnia / Point Edward

The Lambton Kent District School Board (LKDSB) is seeking applicants to fill a vacancy on the Board of Trustees.
The successful candidate will attend bi-monthly Board Meetings, which alternate between the Corporate Office in Sarnia and the Regional Office in Chatham and participate in additional committee work.
The specific vacancy is in the Sarnia and Point Edward area.
In order to be eligible, applicants must:
• Reside in the jurisdiction of the Lambton Kent District School Board.
• Be a Canadian citizen.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be a strong supporter of public education.
The LKDSB provides educational services to more than 21,000 students in 62 elementary and secondary schools, with approximately 3,000 staff. LKDSB schools are located in a number of urban and rural communities throughout the Municipality of Chatham-Kent, the City of Sarnia and the County of Lambton.
“We are looking for a candidate who is committed to public education and will help to further the Mission, Vision and Strategic Priorities of the LKDSB. The Board of Trustees provides leadership and governance for the LKDSB to promote student success and well-being,” said Chair Jane Bryce.
