RAAM Clinic Seeing Increased Demand

covid, lockdown, isolation, alone, loneliness

Things are changing at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance’s Rapid Access to Addiction Medicine Clinic.

The RAAM Clinic had been moved to 240 Grand Ave in Chatham when the pandemic began to make room for the COVID-19 assessment centre. However, with the assessment centre settled in at the St Clair College Healthplex, the RAAM clinic has moved back to 47 Emma Street.

With an increase in demand, due in large part to the pandemic, the clinic is expanding its hours. Beginning on January 21st the clinic will be open to Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from noon to 4 pm.

The hours on Thursday will be dedicated to booked appointments ONLY to facilitate ongoing substance abuse treatment.

The RAAM clinic provides low barrier access for individuals seeking treatment and support for any substance use disorder. Individuals do not need an appointment and are seen on a walk-in basis.
