Local race fans will be heading up to Grand Bend this weekend for a special fundraiser.

Wallaceburg’s Kyle Jackson organizes a day of races in memory of his dad and in support of local families.

Jackson says Last year’s race brought in over $3000 to support a Wallaceburg family while their young daughter was in hospital. This year’s fundraiser is in support of another local family who lost a loved one to opiate addiction.

“We’re going to offer assistance to those seeking help and getting that out there and the fact that help is out there and to get those suffering the help they need,” says Jackson.

The gates open at the Grand Bend Motorplex at 9am this Saturday, and the races begin at 10.
