It’s going to be a wet and windy couple of days in Chatham-Kent with forecasters calling for up to 25mm of rain (1″) and winds topping out at 60km an hour.

Enviroment Canada meteorologist Geoff Coulson says it will stay warm enough to avoid snow or freezing rain.

“I think this is going to be a pretty soaking rain, right across southwestern Ontario,” says Coulson. “All tied into a strong storm system coming out of the American southwest. It’s going to move through southern Ontario tonight and into Wednesday.”

Coulson says temperatures should climb overnight to around 10c (50f).
