The LTVCA is again issuing a flood watch for the Thames River.

Last night’s rain, along with the rain earlier last week have conspired to push the water levels in local rivers and streams back up.

At this point the river is expected to flood its banks in the river flats areas, but just how high the river will get is unknown at this point.

Officials with the conservation area expect to have to use the 6th Street dam in Chatham and encouraging people to prepare for flooding behind King St. in Chatham.
