Red Feather Week

Today marks the start of an annual tradition in Chatham-Kent – Red Feather celebrations.

Youth Engagement Coordinator Michelle Robbins says this is the 63rd year for the event which typically raises about $25,000 for the United Way.

“We have lots of schools that are engaged and it’s fantastic,” Robbins says. “The kids are engaged, and it’s a great opportunity for them to be involved.”

Everything kicks off today with the baseball tournament, followed by dodge-ball, trivia night, football, and of course the dance which caps off the week on Friday.
