From Tilbury to Moraviantown and Erieau to Wallaceburg, residents are invited to take a moment to pay tribute to Canada’s war dead, veterans, and service members.
Here’s a full list of today’s ceremonies:
BLENHEIM
Parade, forming in front of the Legion Branch 185 at 10:30am, going to St Mary’s Hall, followed by a service at the Blenheim Legion at 11am.
BOTHWELL
Parade forming in front of the Legion Branch 252 at 10:30, making its way to the cenotaph at 10:45. Refreshments will be served at Branch 252, followed by a procession to Moraviantown at 12:30.
CHATHAM
Parade from Legion Branch 642 on William Street at 10:30 to the cenotaph for an 11 o’clock service. A light lunch will be served at the Legion following the service.
Similar services will be held indoors at the John D Bradley Convention Centre. A parade begins at 9:30 with a service to follow.
DRESDEN
A parade will begin at the Legion Branch 113 at 10:45 heading to the cenotaph. Dinner will be served at the Legion at 6:30pm.
ERIEAU
A parade will form up in front of Molly and OJ’s restaurant at 1:30pm, getting underway at 2pm.
MERLIN
A parade will begin at 10:30 from the Legion Branch 465 to the cenotaph, followed by a service at the Community Hall at 11am.
MORAVIANTOWN
A service will be held at 12:30 pm at the cenotaph.
RIDGETOWN
A parade will begin at the Legion Branch 243 at 9:30, followed by a service to follow at the cenotaph at Memorial Park.
THAMESVILLE
A parade begins at 10:30 at the Legion Branch 367, making its way to the cenotaph. Following a ceremony, the parade will reform and head to the Anglican Church for a service. Lunch will be held at the Legion at 1pm.
TILBURY
Parade begins at Legion Branch 206 at 10:30, heading to the cenotaph for a service. The procession will then make its way back to the Legion.
WALLACEBURG
A service will be held at WDSS at 9:30am, followed by a procession at 10:30 to the cenotaph.
WHEATLEY
A parade will begin at the Legion Branch 324 at 10:30, followed by a service at the cenotaph, lunch to follow at the Legion.
